1. Clean Your Gutters: 

This is the most obvious thing that you need to do! If you can safely do it yourself, get your gutters clean so you don’t have roof damage do to water build up and ice dams. 

2. Trim back your trees and shrubs: 

When trees and branches get snowed on during the winter, their chances of breaking off onto your house dramatically increase. If you have any branches dangling over your house, be sure to trim them back to limit any damage. 

3. Make exterior repairs: 

From your siding to your roof, if you notice any issues with your house, reach out to a professional to see if they can repair it. These repairs will ensure your house wont have more serious problems in the winter. 

4. Additional Small Items: 

• Remove hoses from faucets
• Drain your sprinkler system
• Seal up any air leaks
